Coming up in October

Monday, September 28th, 2009

I’ll be alternating podcasts between two general formats: narrative and investigative.

Podcast #1 was in narrative format; I narrated an instance of perfect trust between two strangers, united by their love of our good earth.  I also went on a bit about what that encounter meant to me and how it illustrates that all too many of us have become scientists in the sterile sense.

Podcast #2 will be in investigative format.  I will address how an appreciation of nothingness is an essential foundation in the science of geology and how that appreciation can inform our earth spirituality. I’ll be delving into earth science a bit, but I hope to make it relevant to my fellow pagans. And I hope to evoke interest and some response from you, as well.

Earth & Magick on Libsyn

Episode #1 – 9.6 Mb – 10 minutes

Show Notes for Episode #1 – A Walk in the Park

dominican republicIn this first ever Earth & Magick podcast I introduce this series, spend an afternoon talking geology with an old man in the Dominican Republic, discuss how to incorporate earth science into your life, and introduce BlackBerry Circle, a teaching circle located in Southeast Texas.

I also pad this episode out with promos from several of the many pagan podcasts I listen to. If you’re not already familiar with them, give them a try! I’m sure you’ll enjoy the podcasts and learn from the ‘casters, as I have.

Finally, I’d like to thank Oona McOuat for permission to use her wonderful take on “Drowsy Maggie” as the theme music for this podcast.

Blessed Be!
